Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent in work experience
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience
Minimum of 5 years experience with capital goods sales
Knowledge of mining/utility markets
Must have experience working in the Power industry
Background in pumps/fluid handling
Knowledge or experience of selling through representatives/distributors
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develops region sales strategies, goals, etc. in conjunction with corporate strategies/goals, facilitates coordination or company processes and communication.
Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, production costs, service related inventory, information systems and finacial control.
Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and manages data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Manages the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Coordinates manufacturing, service and other related activities with all other functions of the company's organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
Management of the business information systems and inventory control. (Hardware, software and transactions)
Management and control of the business financial transactions and reporting variances to plan (P&L responsibility)
Manages all aspects of sales in region
Assists in the training/development/evaluation of company Sales Reps and further assists them in developing appropriate district strategies, goals,tactics, etc.
Ensures proper follow-up of all active quotations to obtain qoutation status and pursue the close of the sale
Assists product management, order entry, customer service, manufacturing, or shipping with any information required involving orders.
Furnishes sales market forecasts and other reports/forecasts for the region as required
